    About Saint Augustine

Saint Augustine, Florida is known as the Nation's Oldest City, and is reminiscent of a European village, with cobblestone streets, horse drawn carriages, a historic fort and many independent, family owned businesses that make this a unique and wonderful place to visit. Summers are warm and a wonderful time to visit our white sandy beaches and stroll through downtown. Winters are moderate and filled with special events for the holidays. Spring and Autumn are temperate and a wonderful mix of cool mornings and warm afternoons. Saint Augustine Restaurants

There are many chef-owned local restaurants that we recommend. These are just a few of our current favorites!

Purple Olive - Always fresh and delicious, this chef-owned restaurant on Saint Augustine Beach is an award-winning restaurant for good reason. With elegant dining options, and early bird specials, whether you are a seafood lover or steak lover, there is something for everyone on their menu.

95 Cordova - Located in the Casa Monica hotel on King Street in Saint Augustine, this is a wonderful place to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner.

180 Vilano - This family restaurant is right over the Vilano bridge near Publix, and always has fresh seafood selections at reasonable prices. The atmosphere is slightly rustic, but the food is great and the owner is almost always on site to ensure a great dining experience. Walk the Vilano Pier and watch the sunset for a perfect ending to a day spent in Saint Augustine.

Blue Hen - With an eclectic, healthy and delicious menu and a casual atmosphere, this is a great spot for breakfast or lunch. Located in Lincolnville, the historic neighborhood behind Lightner Museum.

Beaches - This is a great place to get fresh oysters, a fresh seafood sandwich and fries and to sit and watch the waves from their private beach patio. Casual, often crowded and fun, Beaches is a fun place to go with a crowd, or to let the kids play on the small private beach.

Sunset Grille - This is a great place to go for seafood anytime of year. With indoor and outdoor seating and located directly across the street from the beach, it's a fun place to bring the kids for a meal during the day, or a good place to watch the game with the boys at night. Casual, fun and beachy, the food is always good, and the service is always prompt.

Meehans - This is a great place to watch the world go by, from their upstairs patio overlooking the bayfront, or back yard patio area where they sometimes feature local musicians. Great hamburgers and a good beer selection, Meehan's is a traditional Irish pub and a fun place to grab a delicious bite while you're downtown.

The Distillery (Ice Plant) - This restaurant in Saint Augustine's art district has surprisingly good food, and is a very popular place to go for lunch or dinner. Their farm to table concept comes to life with their pairings of delicious food and unique cocktails. A fun and lively place to enjoy lunch or dinner, followed by a tour of their distillery.
